On 25 September 2026 level 6 students in Travel and Tourism Management at Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College (MIPC) undertook an educational study trip to Nyungwe National Park.
The visit provided students with practical exposure to Rwanda’s nature and adventure tourism sector. At the Uwinka Visitor Centre, students were introduced to key tourism products, including the Canopy Walkway, Zipline Experience, camping, Cyinzobe Trail, and Nyungwe Traverse.

Students also experienced the Canopy Walk, gaining practical insights into visitor safety, guiding, conservation, customer service, and adventure tourism management. They were further introduced to the Zipline Experience and its role in diversifying tourism products.

The study trip enabled students to connect classroom knowledge with real-world tourism practices, strengthening their professional skills, confidence, and industry readiness.

Through practical learning opportunities such as study trips and industry exposure, MIPC continues to prepare competent, innovative, and industry-ready graduates in line with Competence-Based Education and Training (CBET).
Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College (MIPC) appreciates the Nyungwe National Park management team for welcoming the students and supporting their learning experience.
