MIPC Marks 30th commemoration of genocide against Tutsi of 1994 in Rwanda

On 10th May 2024, Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College (MIPC) organized an event to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

For 100 days each year, from April 7th through July 4th, Rwandans across the globe mourn the loss of over one million lives taken from us within those same 100 days in 1994.

MIPC was joined by delegates from Northern Province, representing the Governor, District officials, Security organs, friends of MIPC, other government and non-government agencies to honor the victims and survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

In his speech, the guest of honor, Mr. Karake Ferdinand including other dialogues delivered in this event, reflected on the impact of the genocide and the profound lessons its aftermath presently hold for the Rwandan community and culture around the globe including Rwanda as a country itself.
