The Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College (MIPC) successfully hosted its Stakeholders’ Dinner on 19 March 2026, bringing together key partners from industry, government, academia, and the wider community for an evening of meaningful engagement and collaboration. The event was guided by the theme “Bridging Skills and Industry: Building Sustainable Partnerships,” which set the standards for discussions focused on aligning education with labor market demands.
Throughout the evening, participants engaged in thoughtful dialogues, sharing experiences and practical recommendations on how to strengthen the connections between training institutions and the evolving needs of industry. Emphasis was placed on improving curriculum relevance, promoting work-based learning opportunities, and fostering innovation through joint research initiatives. These discussions highlighted the critical role of partnerships in enhancing the employability, adaptability, and professionalism of MIPC graduates as they transition into the workforce.

The event was further enriched by the presence of the Governor of the Northern Province, whose participation underscored the government’s commitment to skills development and inclusive economic growth. The Governor commended MIPC for its proactive approach in engaging stakeholders and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving Rwanda’s NST2 goals, particularly in building a skilled and competitive workforce that drives sustainable national development, others that gave their contributions are: Brigadier general Andrew Nyamvumba, the Commandant of Nyakinama Junior & Senior Command Staff College, Mr. Harerimana Leonard – Rwanda Hospitality Association ( Chairman) and the MIPC A.g Principal.

In addition, stakeholders reaffirmed their shared responsibility in supporting technical and vocational education through mentorship programs, internships, resource sharing, and policy alignment. The evening also served as a platform to strengthen existing partnerships while opening doors for new collaborations that will contribute to community-oriented research and practical solutions to real-world challenges.
