Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College Accounting Level 3 Students Conduct Educational Study Visit to NCBA Bank Rwanda (MUSANZE Branch))

On Wednesday, 13th May 2026, students studying Accounting Level 3 at Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College conducted an educational study visit to NCBA Bank Rwanda in Musanze District. The visit aimed at giving students practical exposure to banking operations and helping them connect classroom knowledge with real working experience in the financial sector.

During the visit, the students were warmly welcomed by the branch management and staff members who introduced them to different banking services offered at NCBA Bank. The students learned about custody services, deposits and withdrawals, loan services, mobile banking, and customer care operations. They were also shown how money-counting machines operate, including how banks detect counterfeit currency and manage cash transactions efficiently.

The bank staff further explained different positions found in banking institutions such as Customer Care Officer, Loan Officer, Operations Department staff, and Branch Manager. Students were guided on the responsibilities of each department and the importance of professionalism and customer service in the banking industry.
In the loan services session, students learned about loan requirements and the importance of repayment capacity. The bank officials explained key factors considered before approving loans, including salary, employment contracts, bank statements, and cash flow analysis. Discussions were also held on non-performing loans and the challenges caused by high levels of bad debt in financial institutions.

The study visit provided students with valuable practical knowledge and a better understanding of modern banking systems. The Accounting Level 3 students from MIPC expressed their gratitude to NCBA Bank Musanze Branch for the warm reception and the professional knowledge shared during the visit
